Green Nirvana

Pantone Has Teamed Up With Airbnb To Create A Temporary Pop-Up Hotel Dedicated To Pantone’s Color Of The Year And It Is Heaven!Eat, Sleep, Travel Green.

It seems you can barely do anything nowadays without it being related to the fresh and zesty, ethereal shade of green.

So, it came as no surprise the experts at Pantone chose a green hue as their favorite shade of 2017, a tone officially known as 15-0343 TCX.

Catchy, right?

It evokes the first days of spring and it makes me want to sip on a spinach and ginger shake, whilst rolling around on a freshly mowed lawn in the countryside.

Well, now you can indulge and immerse yourself in this lovely forest hue for about $250 a night. The clever people at Pantone have partnered up with Airbnb to transform a warehouse in London’s Clerkenwell into an ‘outside in’ tropical forest.

When you enter the botanical dreamland, guests receive a green juice matched to the exact same color as the Pantone hue, before being invited to try healthy food and drink, wellness and relaxation sessions and green-themed master classes.

During their stay, guests are encouraged to learn how to make green gin, create their own botanical gardens and take part in fitness and yoga sessions. They can also forage the warehouse walls for vegetables and herbs, drink tea with leaves picked from a hydroponics installation, and choose plants to make terrarium vases with. After a day of sampling delights, guests can retire to their jungle green-themed bedrooms.Additionally, any materials that are used during your stay will be recycled where possible and any leftover plants will be donated to community gardens.

Benefits of Warm Lemon Water

So I know people have been drinking warm lemon water for some time, but I just started to and I am slightly obsessed! I was first introduced to the concept of lemon water by my mom who is a total health freak; she’s been drinking it for years, so after doing a little bit of research, I discovered all of its zesty benefits. As an avid water drinker, it was nice to learn a new spin on an old favorite.

Here are a few reasons I’m loving warm lemon water:

1. Gives your immune system a boost.

Lemon juice is full of vitamin-C and the level of vitamin-C in your system is one of the first things to plummet when you’re stressed; because I’m always frazzled this is right up my alley.

2. Aids in digestion.

Lemon juice encourages healthy digestion by loosening toxins in your digestive tract and it helps to relieve symptoms of indigestion such as bloating, heartburn, and burping. It’s also great for relieving those horrible monthly cramps us girls have to go through.

3. Cleanses your system and acts as diuretic.

It helps flush out the toxins in your body by enhancing enzyme function and stimulating your liver, pretty self-explanatory.

4. Keeps your skin pretty.

The antioxidants in lemon juice help to not only decrease your blemishes, but your wrinkles too. It can also be applied to scars and age spots to reduce their appearance. I have spot treated old scars in the past and it definitely helps with fading skin discoloration. Because lemon water also detoxifies your blood, it will help maintain your skin’s radiance.

5. Helps you lose weight.

Lemons contain pectin fiber, which helps to fight hunger cravings. I personally find myself making better choices throughout the day if I start my day off by making warm lemon water first thing every morning.

6. Gives you an energy boost.

Lemon juice provides your body with energy when it enters your digestive tract; it also helps reduce anxiety and depression. (Even the scent of lemons has a calming effect on your nervous system.)

 7. Keeps you balanced.

Lemon juice balances and maintains the pH levels in your body.

 8. Reduces fever.

Lemon juice can treat a cold, flu or fever by increasing perspiration. Lemons juice also fights against throat infections due to its antibacterial properties.

Warm lemon water is so simple to make and you will feel awesome after your first cup, promise! Squeeze some fresh lemon juice into a glass, fill with warm water and drink. It’s best first thing in the morning, and you should wait about 30 minutes before you eat breakfast. That’s it! Get to squeezing, people!
